Electric water heater for an apartment
Electric water heater RODA is a device with water inside, which heats up in a certain time (depending on the volume) to a predetermined temperature. For an apartment, this is the most popular option.
Let's see what criteria you need to focus on when choosing a water heater in an apartment:

- Boiler displacement in accordance with the number of people living in the apartment:
- 10 - 15 liters is suitable for small household needs - wash dishes, hands, etc.;
- 30 liters - a water heater for a shower of one person;
- 50 liters is enough for two people;
- 80 liters can be distributed for a shower of 2 adults and a child or three adults;
- 100 liters of water is enough for a family of four;
- 120 - 200 liters for large apartments and families from five people.
All the above data are advisory in nature, since everything is individual, and each person's water consumption may be different. When connecting the kitchen, be guided approximately that the water consumption will be equal to taking a shower for one person.
- The shape of the boiler, depending on the place where you plan to install it:
- Round, cylindrical or barrel shape is the standard shape of the water heater that people use. Their downside is their size. The round shape takes up a lot of space, especially with large displacements, so it is not always possible to place them in the right corner;
- Rectangular or flat shape - a popular type of boilers, enjoying more and more popularity today. The main advantage is in a flat form, which takes up little space and looks neat. The second plus will undoubtedly be the mounting method: horizontal or vertical. This is very convenient for apartments of old buildings, where the bathroom is small. This type of boiler can be attached closer to the ceiling, in a corner, in a cabinet and any other place not used by a person.
- Type of heating element - a device inside the boiler that heats the water:
- Wet type - located directly in the water, works on the principle of a boiler. The main advantage of boilers with such a heating element is the price, they are cheaper. However, there are disadvantages: over time, the heating element becomes covered with plaque, which increases the time for heating water and more electricity consumption; its failure, regular maintenance (at least once a year) and possible replacement of components in order to avoid the formation of leaks or other breakdowns;
- Dry type - protected from water. Such water heaters are more expensive, as they are considered more durable. Maintenance will be required, but not as often as for wet heater boilers.
