In 1982, the young engineer Olbak Holger, a German of Swedish origin, opened a small company in Dortmund - the design office RÖDA GmbH (Röda - in Swedish "red"), which was engaged in the development of innovative gas burners for various heating equipment. The product turned out to be high-tech and competitive, and, in a few years, many well-known manufacturers completed their boilers with new RÖDA burners of the “Smart” series, which have already become classics. A year later, RÖDA becomes a trademark.
In 1988, the global manufacturer Buderus Heiztechnik GmbH ordered the young company to develop burners of the Jet-Max series. This collaboration proved to be a milestone for the company: at the International Trade Fair (ISH) in Frankfurt the Ecomatic low-temperature heating boiler with the Jet-Max burner set new benchmarks for the entire industry.
Since 1997, the company has been selling the rights to use its trademark for the production of various heating and air conditioning equipment , which allows RÖDA brand to successfully conquer world markets.
In 2000, RÖDA was bought out by the Roitz Investment Group, supported by Finance and Initiative and the German bank IKB. RÖDA is 100% controlled by financial institutions, but the controlling stake is still owned by the Roitz group. At present moment RÖDA has enough financial support for continuous growth and the launch of new original projects. At the same time, an equally important issue is to ensure quality control and provide customers with reliable and trouble-free products in operation.
Following its idea of creating a comfortable indoor climate, Röda decided to expand its activities not only in the field of heating technology, but also in the field of ventilation and air conditioning equipment.
As a result, Lüfthard Apparate-Bau GmbH, a German manufacturer headquartered in Waldstetten, became part of Röda in 2007.
RÖDA products are exported to Europe, Asia and the CIS. European quality at affordable prices has won the trust of millions of consumers. Today RÖDA product range includes gas, electric and solid fuel boilers , boilers, instantaneous water heaters, steel, aluminum and bimetallic radiators, ventilation equipment, stop valves, solar systems, pipes, water pumps, etc.
