Steel panel radiators Roda - German quality in Ukraine
In Ukraine, steel batteries are very popular, otherwise they are called steel panel radiators.
The creation of steel panel radiators fell to the end of the 1990s. This was influenced by a new development in the creation of steel sheets, the invention of special welding and a new, special paint composition.
Panel steel radiators were expected to outperform the old cast iron radiators in many ways. This is what made steel radiators so popular among users and, over time, almost completely removed "cast iron" from the market.

Panel steel heating radiators - the principle of operation
Radiators of this type consist of one, two or three flat panels welded together. Each panel has channels for the coolant, traditionally water.
In order to increase the efficiency of the device, as a rule, they are equipped with U-shaped fins, due to which air convection occurs and heat transfer occurs faster.
Depending on the number of heating panels and panels with U-shaped ribs, steel panel heating radiators are divided into the following types:
- 10 type (this is a radiator with one thermal panel without convection panel and cladding);
- 11 type (single row radiator with one convection panel);
- 20 type (has two thermal panels, without a convector, covered with a grate);
- 21 types (two thermal panels and one convection panel, also covered with an air grill);
- 22 type (consists of two thermal panels and two convection panels);
- 30 type (three panel radiator without convection, under the grille);
- 33 type (three thermal and convection panels each, with a grate).
It is worth noting that type 10 and 11 steel panel radiators do not have convection, and therefore they give off heat only by heating the air.
Unlike aluminum or bimetallic radiators, steel panel radiators have the ability to connect the inlet and outlet of the coolant from the side and bottom.
This allows you to choose an option that will be more suitable for a particular heating system project.

Steel panel heating radiators TM RÖDA calculation depends on their type:
- Type 11 R with one panel filled with water;
